Draft 2020 – Which players got their 5th year option?

NFL franchises had until Tuesday night to choose whether to activate their option to add a fifth year to the rookie contract of players selected in the first round in 2020.

Twelve players were entitled to this option. It’s “no” for fifteen others, while five players were no longer eligible, sometimes in tragic conditions.

Their option has been activated

1 – Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

4 – New York Giants: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

5 – Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

6 – Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

7 – Carolina Panthers: Derrick Brown, IDL, Auburn

10 – Cleveland Browns: Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

13 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via Colts/49ers): Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa

15 – Denver Broncos: Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

16 – Atlanta Falcons: AJ Terrell, CB, Clemson

17 – Dallas Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

22 – Minnesota Vikings (via Bills): Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

25 – San Francisco 49ers (via Vikings): Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

Their option has not been activated

2 – Washington Commanders: Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State

8 – Arizona Cardinals: Isaiah Simmons, LB/S, Clemson

9 – Jacksonville Jaguars (then transferred to the Panthers): CJ Henderson, CB, Florida

11 – New York Jets: Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

14 – San Francisco 49ers (via Buccaneers): Javon Kinlaw, IDL, South Carolina

18 – Miami Dolphins (via Steelers): Austin Jackson, OT, USC

20 – Jacksonville Jaguars (via Rams): K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU

21 – Philadelphia Eagles (then transferred to the Vikings): Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU

23 – Los Angeles Chargers (via Patriots): Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

24 – New Orleans Saints: Cesar Ruiz, IOL, Michigan

26 – Green Bay Packers (via Texans/Dolphins): Jordan Love, QB, Utah State – Signed a contract extension

27 – Seattle Seahawks: Jordyn Brooks, LB, Texas Tech

28 – Baltimore Ravens: Patrick Queen, LB, LSU

30 – Miami Dolphins (via Packers): Noah Igbinoghene, BC, Auburn

32 – Kansas City Chiefs: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU

They were not eligible

3 — Detroit Lions: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State — not eligible for option after being traded and having his contract restructured.

12 – Las Vegas Raiders: Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama – imprisoned

19 – Las Vegas Raiders (via Bears): Damon Arnette, BC, Ohio State – without a team

29 – Tennessee Titans – Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia – unteamed

31 – Minnesota Vikings (via 49ers): Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU – died in a car accident
