At least six coaches will interview with the Rockets

A year after accepting and then refusing the position of coach of the Hornets for family reasons, will Kenny Atkinson be the next coach of the Rockets? It is possible since the leaders of the Warriors authorized him to meet the Rockets. Forty-eight hours after parting ways with Stephen Silas, management has asked to meet him, and they will do so before the start of the series between Sacramento and Golden State.

But Atkinson isn’t the only coach on the Rockets’ roster, as The Athletic reports that they have scheduled talks with Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin, Ime Udoka, Frank Vogel and James Borrego, all three out of work. Another name to watch, but he is under contract: Nick Nurse, who has announced that he will take stock of his career after 10 years with the Raptors.

ESPN adds that the executives have completed a meeting with Kevin Young, Monty Williams’ right-hand man at the Suns.
