It was this morning that the Toronto Blue Jays finally unveiled the results of the first phase of the renovations that took place this winter at the Rogers Center outfield.
Mark Shapiro, president and CEO of the Blue Jays, Edward Rogers, team chairman and chairman of the board of directors of Rogers Communications, and Tony Staffieri, president and CEO of Rogers Communications, were present during the inauguration ceremony.
The renovations include the addition of the Catch Bar, overlooking the new elevated visitor bullpen, the Stop, a center field bar area, the Corona Rooftop Patio, a non-seating area on the 500 level and the Park Social, a family area on two levels.
New $20 tickets will allow fans access to new areas of the outfield.
The first phase of the renovations aimed to improve fans’ experience in the stadium and bring them closer to the action. We can say that it is mission accomplished.
The second phase, which should begin at the end of the 2023 season, will this time aim to improve the facilities under the stands, i.e. those of the team.
Jays fans will get a chance to see the new face-to-face renovations on Tuesday (April 11), when their favorite team hosts the Detroit Tigers in Toronto’s home opener.
