Not so good lately Jordan Poole has been the subject of much criticism from consultants but also from Golden State fans. But, Friday against the Sixers, it was he who allowed the Warriors to win (120-112) with his 33 points at 10/19 in shooting including 6/11 from 3-pointers. After the meeting, he did not miss the opportunity to respond to his detractors.
“It’s all about ‘Jordan Poole playoffs’, but the crazy thing is you all know that” quipped the hero of the evening. ” You know it. So I don’t want to hear any more… all that criticism you were saying about me”.

While the Warriors were led by 9 points at the start of the last quarter (88-79), Jordan Poole caught fire with 19 of his 33 points in this 4th quarter won with a score of 41-24. Faced with such a heatstroke, his coach left him on the floor for the entire quarter.
“Last year he was very good in the playoffs and had a lot of great performances for us” recalled Steve Kerr. “Tonight felt like the playoffs last year, when Jordan was attacking and shooting, but also going to the free throw line. He gave us a whole new dimension in attack. He was wonderful tonight.”.
If he was criticized for his attacking performance, Jordan Poole was also criticized for his lack of involvement on the other side of the floor with a blatant lack of effort and stupid fouls conceded. But, in this match against the Sixers, he was much more involved and decisive in defense, something to be congratulated by his teammates.
“It’s clear that when you approach the game in the right way, in terms of effort and focus in all areas, not just JP, then good things usually happen on both sides of the pitch.” explained Stephen Curry. “He put 19 in the 4th quarter. He fought on the other side of the floor and was rewarded for it. He was very sure of himself and decisive throughout the game. For us to have the luxury of leaning on him for most of the 4th quarter…it was a fun way to play and see him express himself on the pitch.”.
