Warriors convert Anthony Lamb’s contract

At the beginning of March, the Warriors signed a fifteenth player, Lester Quinones, on a ten-day contract, in order to still be able to benefit from their two players on a “two-way contract”, Anthony Lamb and Ty Jerome.

Two weeks later, the franchise continues its small contractual maneuvers, still with the same players, Anthony Lamb and Lester Quinones.

The Athletic thus tells us that the first, who has reached the end of the 50 matches he could play with the defending champions this season via his “two-way contract”, has signed a standard contract. Result: a “two-way contract” is released and it is the second, Lester Quinones, who recovers it.

For the Warriors, this game of musical chairs with contracts is obviously a way to keep Anthony Lamb for the playoffs. With his 7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 20 minutes on average, the winger is indeed one of Steve Kerr’s preferred options off the bench this season.

For his part, the other “two-way contract” Ty Jerome is approaching the limit since he has already played 44 games and has been active for three others. The Warriors can therefore only use it for three games.
