Draymond Green was convinced that the NBA would give him a gift, by withdrawing his 16th technical foul of the season.
“I think something will change,” he explained, rubbing his hands. “I already took a technique earlier in the season that wasn’t really a technique. I think that decision will change because one of his technical fouls didn’t really count…”
Except that the authorities of the Great League did not finally make the gift hoped for by the strong winger of Golden State, validating his 16th technical foul received after a gesture of humor against the Clippers. Pushed to the rebound by Russell Westbrook, Draymond Green reacted by throwing the ball at him.
The problem for Golden State is that this 16th technical foul of the regular season is synonymous with suspension for Draymond Green, who will therefore miss next night’s game on the Hawks’ floor.
Bad news as the Warriors have all the trouble to win away from Chase Center (7 wins – 27 losses) this season, and they will also have to do without Andre Iguodala, Gary Payton II and Andrew Wiggins, and that Stephen Curry is also uncertain.
From now on, he will be suspended for one game each time he takes two additional technical fouls.
