Yankees: Harrison Bader should not start the season on time

Frankie Montas. Carlos Rodon. Tommy Kahnle. Lou Trivino. In the last few days, we learned that these guys were not going to start the season on time for the Yankees.

But now we have to add a name to the list: Harrison Bader.

The center fielder recently injured his left oblique and now the Yankees don’t expect him to start the season on time.

He should therefore go on an injured list which is already very busy at the start of the season.

The Montreal Canadiens say that it’s not the end of the world and that it is still possible to survive despite a list of injured people like this.

It’s a shame since Bader, who arrived injured last year from Saint-Louis, is a fit perfect for Bombers. The Bronxville native is good in center field and his batting helps the lineup too.

In the playoffs, he did really well.

It should also be remembered that he is in his last year of contract. He wants to stay in town, but for that, he will have to be healthy to earn a job.

But the real question is about Aaron Judge.

Bader was acquired to keep the Judge on the right (or on the left, if necessary) as often as possible. But there, will manager Aaron Boone be forced to transfer his captain to the center in the short term? Who knows.

That’s not the plan the club had, anyway. Will GM Brian Cashman have to move to help his team?

Will young people have more room? Bet on that, in my opinion.
