Bills: Extubated, Damar Hamlin was able to exchange with his teammates

The good news keeps coming in about Damar Hamlin. In written contact with the doctors yesterday, the 24-year-old safety has made further progress in his remission since he was extubated on Friday, according to Ian Rapoport (NFL Media). It therefore ensures the functioning of its respiratory system by itself.

Better, the player even spent the morning with some of his teammates on Facetime, to end up addressing the whole team.

After the sports decision, the NFL has decided to honor the player this weekend through multiple initiatives. Each team will be able to:

  • Make an announcement of support to the player and thank you for first aid, before the American anthem
  • Paint the field with Hamlin’s number 3 in Bills colors, at 30 yards
  • Let players warm up with a black flocked “Love for Damar 3” T-shirt. Buffalo players will have the same T-shirt, but in the colors of the Bills.

Bills players will also be able to warm up in special New Era caps emblazoned with the number 3, and play with a “3” crest on their shirts.
