Players of the Week | The double for Luka Doncic!

With 48.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, 10.7 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks on average over three games, it was hard to imagine Luka Doncic not be voted “Player of the Week” for the second time in a row.

Especially since the Slovenian was doing it at 62% on shots and 48% at 3-pts, to guide the Mavericks to three wins and, above all, to 4th place in the Western Conference (21-16). Far too many, therefore, for Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, Domantas Sabonis, Ja Morant, Jordan Poole or even Zion Williamson to dethrone him.

In the East, the choice was more open, but it is ultimately Kristaps Porzingisformer teammate of… Luka Doncic in Dallas, who was rewarded, ahead of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Myles Turner, but also Jaylen Brown.

Victorious in their four games of the week, the Wizards were thus able to count on the 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.5 blocks on average from their Latvian (56% on shots and 36% at 3-pts) to garner success.

This is the 9th time that Luka Doncic has been named “Player Of the Week”, while Kristaps Porzingis receives this honor for the 3rd time in his career (a first since March 2020).
