Broncos: it’s (already) over for Nathaniel Hackett

The Broncos did not wait for Black Monday to part ways with their coach.

After being hired in the 2022 offseason in place of Vic Fangio, Nathaniel Hackett was let go by the Broncos front office before the end of the season according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The former Packers offensive coordinator had been in place since January 27, 2022 and is paying a disastrous season of 4 wins and 11 losses for his first as head coach.

A decision not surprising after the big defeat the day before against the Los Angeles Rams and in view of the content displayed by the Broncos during this season.

Denver general manager George Paton thanked Nathaniel Hackett for his work but that it was time to move in a new direction for the good of the franchise.

The information has not filtered out on the name of who will take charge of the team for next weekend against the Chiefs.

He is the 3rd coach fired during the season after Matt Rhule at the Panthers and Frank Reich on the side of the Colts.
