Another broken wrist for Ousmane Dieng

11th choice of the last Draft, Ousmane Dieng will have to go through the infirmary for a period of at least six weeks. Hugo Besson’s former New Zealand Breakers teammate was victim of a small fracture of the right wrist during a G-League game on Wednesday night, between his Oklahoma City Blue and the Salt Lake City Stars.

The young Frenchman had already missed the end of the Summer League because of a broken right wrist…

Ousmane Dieng has had the opportunity to play 14 NBA games since the start of the season with more than 15 minutes of play on average. He had also shown himself to his advantage in his last game with the Thunder, compiling 15 points at 6/8 shooting and 5 rebounds in 19 minutes in a victory against Atlanta.

This injury is obviously a blow, even if OKC intended to give him time to acclimatize to the NBA at all levels during his rookie year. A return for the beginning of February is therefore hoped for in the best of cases.

Alongside Adam Mokoka in the G-League, Ousmane Dieng had performed well with 15.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists on average over 11 games.
