Paul George and Kawhi Leonard back today?

The sky is slowly clearing over Los Angeles, where the Clippers recorded the returns of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard for the pre-game training session on Friday afternoon, in view of the reception of Sacramento this evening.

The first missed six games due to a sprained right hamstring tendon, the second for his part was absent for five games due to a sprained right ankle. The training was used by Tyronn Lue and his staff to decide whether or not the tandem was ready to resume competition. A test should be carried out before the meeting for which the two players are still listed as “uncertain”.

Luke Kennard and Norman Powell sidelined

The Clippers coach remained restrained, stating that “both are progressing really well”even if he still planned on the smooth return to which his two stars must prepare, Kawhi Leonard in particular.

“We will have to give them some time to find their rhythm. Kawhi will always have a limited playing time when he returns, same for our back-to-back situations. So it’s going to take a bit of time just for them to find themselves in the rotations, to see who plays well with whom, how to distribute Kawhi’s minutes and what is best for the team and what is best for him too “, did he declare.

Tyronn Lue will still have to take his troubles patiently before finally being able to have a full group. Because if Luke Kennard also participated in Friday’s training after missing eight games (right calf), there is still no question that he will return to the field this Saturday.

Then will remain Norman Powell, meanwhile affected in the groin since Wednesday.

“I’m excited to bring the guys back, PG and Kawhi, bring Luke back as well. But now we have to wait for Norm, so let’s hope he feels better soon. But I’m very excited to see what we can give (in full)”he added.
