Taillon went 14-5 with a 3.91 ERA in 32 starts (177 1/3 IP) for the Yankees last season. After the group of Jacob deGrom, Justin Verlander, Carlos Rodón and Kodai Senga, Taillon and Chris Bassitt are widely considered the best starters on the free-agent market.

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry, who passed away this morning in Gaffney, SC.

Gaylord was a two-time All-Star (1972 and 1974) and Cy Young Award winner (1972) during his time with Cleveland.
