NBA leaders, the Celtics will be deprived of Jayson Tatum for Sunday night’s game against the Wizards. It’s the first time this season that the Celtics winger has missed a game, and it’s not a rest. Boston’s leading scorer is suffering from a sprained left ankle, and the medical staff prefers that he give up on this match. A meeting that is close to his heart, however, since he meets his friend Bradley Beal, originally like him from Saint-Louis.
Tatum was injured on Monday against the Bulls, but he wanted to play the next game against Luka Doncic’s Mavericks. As he then played against the Kings, we thought that this sprain was forgotten. Except that the Celtics announced on Saturday that he would not play tonight, and Boston will therefore be deprived of Tatum, but also always of Robert Williams and Danilo Gallinari.
To replace him, Joe Mazzulla does not have many solutions, and it is undoubtedly Grant Williams who will start tonight.
