Will Jacob deGrom leave the New York Mets? The question must arise.
After all, there have been several rumors that the Mets pitcher could sign elsewhere, as he doesn’t always seem like a dud in the Big Apple.
I do not believe that the Braves, often cited in the file, want to put $40 million a year on a pitcher. They don’t need to.
I don’t think he wants to go with the Dodgers, coming from Florida and wanting to be closer to home if possible.
I don’t see him going with the Yankees. As long as you sign in New York, it will be with the Mets.
So I have a feeling it will either be between the Mets or with the Rangers. And his New York club, he has the feeling that with equal offer, he would like to stay in town.
There have been rumors to the contrary in the past. Some speakers believe the pitcher would like to get out of the pressure of New York.
Several guys who have pitched with him, however, are of the opinion that the pitcher wants to stay in town.
Who is right, in the end? It’s hard to say right now. The file does not evolve quickly – like many others – and the launcher has the right to take his time.
However, it is normal that it makes people talk.
