Giants interested in Kodai Senga

The baseball world expects the San Francisco Giants to hit one or more big shots this offseason. They will definitely want to improve their outfield as well as add quality arms on the mound.

As for this last category, the name of the Japanese launcher Kodai Senga surfaces. Indeed, the president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi seems excited by what he sees from the Japanese gunner, even if we are far from having an agreement on this file.

“For all pitchers, we look not only at performance, but at their pitching style and any adjustments they might have to make when they come to MLB. It’s about assessing and understanding where his market will be and also thinking about how we can help him, if there’s interest, to be as good as he can be in the major leagues. »

A potential arrival of Senga in California would be a way to replace ace pitcher Carlos Rodon if he were to leave the San Francisco Bay Area. Even if Rodon came back with the Giants, they are not ruling out the possibility of also adding Senga, who will add several pieces to their team this winter.

The Giants will not be alone in the Senga derby, however. True to their habit of signing players from the Land of the Rising Sun, the Chicago Cubs are among the favorites to get their hands on Senga.

In addition to the Cubs, the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers, among others, are also said to be in the dance.
