LaMelo Ball, James Bouknight and Kai Jones tied to Hornets until 2024

Classic contractual operation on the side of the Hornets. Franchise President Mitch Kupchak announced activation of options in the fourth year of the contract LaMelo Ball and the third year of the contracts of james bouknight and Kai Jones. The three young people are thus linked to the club until the end of the 2023-2024 season.

For the first quoted, this decision is obvious. Although he has yet to play this season due to an ankle injury, the point guard has had two impressive first seasons in the league, marked by the 2021 Rookie of the Year trophy as well as an All -Star. This season, he will receive 8.6 million dollars, then just under 11 million the following year. Before being extended at full price, we imagine it.

Charlotte made cheaper bets with the other two. Earned $3 million, Kai Jones started his second season in the league playing as infrequently as he did in his rookie year. As for James Bouknight ($4.6 million next year), he seems to be earning his place in the rotation a little more. He has just played two games in a row with 10 points or more. Which can be considered an encouraging sign after he has occupied the news item box recently…
