Trey Murphy’s Perfect Evening

In the United States, and more particularly in the NBA, we speak of ” next man mentality“. If there is a major absentee, his substitute must be able to attend. Last night, against Dallas, the Pelicans were deprived of three starters (Ingram, Williamson and Jones), and Trey Murphy III was one of the players who needed to raise their level of play.

The young winger took responsibility, and he quite simply signed his best game of his career with a… perfect performance: 22 points at 8 out of 8 in shots, including 4 out of 4 from 3-pointers, and 2 out of 2 in throws- frank!

“It was a fun game. Everyone was involved. There was a lot of desire on the pitch, a lot of energy on the bench. lists New Orleans shooter. “I love being part of this team because everyone knows there’s a ‘team to score’ mentality. We’re just super proud.”

It’s true that at the Pelicans, there is a collective strength, and that each player is happy to score his teammate. That night, Murphy had a hot hand, and his partners looked for him. In particular CJ McCollum who signs a new game with 10 assists and more.

“It’s wonderful to see because it makes everyone’s game easier” admire Murphy. “It’s easier to score when you’re trusted, when you’re given the ball when you’re unmarked. It’s more difficult for the defense because they have to watch out for us, and it gives them more space”.
