The Calgary Flames and goaltender Dan Vladar have agreed to a two-year, $2.2 million annual contract extension.

The 25-year-old Czech has been acting as a substitute goalie for Jacob Markstrom since the 2021-22 season. Last season, Vladar impressed, going 13-6-2 with a .906 save percentage.
This season, the Prague native won the only game he played, making 26 saves in a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
Selected in the third round (75th overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Vladar has won 16 of his 29 starts in the Betman Tour so far in his career.
