LeBron James very strong against the Suns

Two games and two losses for the Lakers in this preseason. After their rouste suffered against the Kings, the Californians made a much better impression last night against the Suns, whose substitutes finished the match better to win (119-115). The Lakers had been in the lead for three quarters, counting up to 13 points ahead.

The start of the match was marked by ease in the game of LeBron James, deprived of his privileged partner, Anthony Davis. The “King” was equally at home near the circle and behind the 3-point line, or in transition to send Wenyen Gabriel into orbit in “alley-oop”.

He finished his contested end of the game (17 minutes) with 23 points and a very good 8/11 on shots, well supported by Kendrick Nunn (21 points). Without scoring much, Austin Reaves came close to a double-double (7 rebounds and 9 assists) with the longest playing time of the game (36 minutes), while Russell Westbrook did not shine with his skill ( 12 points at 4/12).

On the winning side, beyond the injury exit of Cam Johnson, we will note the fairly generalized clumsiness on the part of the holders. Like Devin Booker at 22 points but only 7/20 on shots, or worse Mikal Bridges with his 1/8 on shots.

But Monty Williams was able to rely on the depth of his bench where Dario Saric, Damion Lee and Jock Landale all passed the 10-point mark. Without forgetting a very inspired Landry Shamet behind the arc (5/7) who also participated in tipping the match in favor of the Suns.
