[Fantasy] Succeed in your draft to succeed in your season

It’s the return of the Fantasy section on DNA of Sports, every week find our tips, our favorites, and the pitfalls to avoid.

The resumption of the season is approaching, the fantasy leagues are in full swing. Draft season has begun. The time has come to choose the players who will make you win. Or lose.

Whether you play in a league for fun, in a more serious dynasty format where only victory counts, a traditional or personalized notation, between friends, with your colleagues, or in a community of fans, no two leagues are the same. It is therefore necessary to understand the format of the league in which we evolve before the draft. This will influence the composition of your team.

The value of players

The player rankings, called “ranking” represent the consensus of different Fantasy specialists. If this is not a guarantee of absolute success, it will give you indications of the theoretical value of a player. Depending on the formats, positions will be more or less favored and therefore important to prioritize.

Quarterback, running back, receivers, the Holy Trinity of Fantasy. Do not aspire to anything other than a long way of the cross for 18 weeks, if you do not prioritize these positions at the start of the draft. Forget the sentimental draft where you choose the players of your favorite team, where even the best team, your players score points on their individual performances. The worst team’s playmaker will always earn you more points than the champion’s understudy.

The owners

If the truth of yesterday is not necessarily that of today, the leaders of previous seasons should remain headliners in 2022. It is on them that you will base your hopes of victory. They are also the ones who will make you cry tears of blood when they get hurt in week 3.
