Currently, it seems more and more obvious that if Freddie Freeman does not find himself on the side of Atlanta, it is the Dodgers or the Yankees who will sign him.
And by the way, I really mean the Dodgers.

According to Jon Morosi, the Los Angeles Dodgers have dropped a multi-year offer on his table.
He also added that the negotiations are gaining momentum and that the two clans are in contact to bring him home, to California.

If they do that, Max Muncy will play second base and Trea Turner will take shortstop. But it’s not done yet.
The CEO of the Dodgers will have to watch his luxury tax if he does not want to exceed the last threshold of $290 million, he who sees his training being currently at $253 million. Unless Trevor Bauer, currently on administrative leave, changes the situation…
Dodgers CBT payroll currently at $253M after Kershaw deal, per Cots. That does, however, include Bauer’s full salary. https://t.co/jcmsuaY7OV

Will the Braves turn to the A’s to acquire Matt Olson? If Freeman leaves, it’s possible, yes.
The Atlanta native would also be coming home.
Might just go ahead and do a Matt Olson Braves photoshop.

For their part, it would seem that the Yankees have their noses in another file, that of Carlos Correa. Is it because they feel Freeman is slipping away from them?
According to what reporter Hector Gomez retweeted, the shortstop wouldn’t be getting a big enough amount to sign in Chicago, but the Yankees would be willing to put the money on the table.
Hearing that the Yankees are willing to pay him that amount or above. ace @jonmorosi reported, the expectation for Correa is that he’ll get something like a Lindor deal or better. https://t.co/oaE3FpYoiR

Hector Gomez isn’t always right, but he’s had some good scoops in the past. Have the Yankees changed their mind about what strategy to take at shortstop?
Is it because they feel Correa is slipping through their fingers that the Cubs signed Andrelton Simmons?
Andrelton Simmons joins the Cubs
Warning: this will not prevent the Cubs from targeting Carlos Correa.
Currently, the big names in the market are causing a lot of talk. Will this translate to signings soon?
That remains to be seen.
The market for free agent SP Yusei Kikuchi is gaining momentum. Don’t the most aggressive team there right now.

- A name to watch for the Mets.
One potential SP trade target Mets have done some background work on is Luke Weaver of Diamondbacks.
