No no nothing has changed. Everything, everything will continue. While their future was to be the springtime soap opera in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams will remain well together.
A few hours after the quarterback’s contract extension, the Packers formalized the placement of the franchise tag on their star receiver.
Adams finds himself locked out for the upcoming season at a price tag of $18.4 million. The managers and the player now have until July 15 if they wish to reach a longer-term agreement. This seems essential, since it would be better to lower the impact of Adams on the payroll for Packers who are in a very tight financial situation.
Last season, Adams still caught 123 passes for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is 29 years old.
