Cardinals: Kyler Murray gives ultimatum

The quarterback continues to dictate terms to Arizona.

Kyler Murray wants a new contract. Yes, but he wants a new contract now.

According to Sports Illustrated, Murray wants his situation resolved before the camps open in July. The idea would be to be able to take advantage of the need for other franchises in quarterback to be transferred and get a new commitment if Arizona was reluctant to grant him what he is asking for.

Also, the NFL has tightened its rules regarding players who do not show up for camps. Absent, Murray would expose himself to heavy fines and would take the risk of truncating his preparation.

In the fourth year of his rookie contract, Murray can claim a salary of $ 5.5 million this season knowing that the Cardinals keep the possibility of activating the fifth year option scheduled for first-round draft picks. But he is already aiming for the salaries of the biggest in the league. It remains to be seen how far he will be willing to go to win the jackpot.
