Marcus Stroman is happy to have left the Mets

One of the surprises of the offseason is the signing of Marcus Stroman in Chicago, with the Cubs.

We knew that the chances of the right-hander signing somewhere other than New York were high, but it’s the fact that he chose the Cubs that is surprising, in my opinion.

Stroman never hid his intentions. On social networks, he is one of the most active players. Again yesterday, he did not hesitate to criticize the hiring of GMs from his former team.

He deleted his tweet, but it was too little too late in the end.

Just look at who the Mets have hired as GM…that tells you enough. His lack of conscience in his previous post is on public display now. I am more than grateful to have left this organization. -Marcus Stroman

The former Jays is therefore very happy to have left the team with which he played for three years, but only two seasons.

When asked about his reasons for deciding to sign elsewhere, he replied that “people are not ready for an honest answer”.

For the past few seasons, we’ve known how controversial a franchise New York is, but other than that, we can really wonder what it did (or didn’t do) to Stroman. He seems to be a resentful man.

Fortunately for the Mets, their former pitcher finds himself elsewhere, but we bet that the loss of a pitcher of his caliber could hurt the team. At least she can tell herself that the money saved allowed her to sign Max Scherzer, among others.
