Just over two weeks ago, Derrick Rose expressed a desire to return from his ankle injury after the All-Star Game. This one seems to be on the way to being answered since from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowskithe New York leader will be well and truly ready to return to the courts during the Knicks’ next game against Miami, at home, barring any last-minute setbacks.
Before the derby played last night against the Nets, Tom Thibodeau clarified that his former MVP had not yet been authorized to resume training with contact within the group. He therefore has a big week left to complete his rehabilitation and be designated as fit to return to the courts.
His return will in any case not hurt the Knicks, immersed in a galley season, to fight for a place in “play-in”. Since his injury, the team has continued its descent into hell, losing 17 of its 29 games.
