a meeting will (maybe) take place this week

Are you as excited as I am to see baseball start again? If so, I recommend you to sharpen your patience because it will be long.

Why? Because, to begin with, the players do not see their expectations being met. It’s the same for the bosses, but it seems that the demands of the players are more reasonable.

Obviously, among the players, seeing the youngest have better working conditions is at the heart of the project. It’s their workhorse – and with good reason.

This means that it will be long since Rob Manfred and his gang do not have exactly the same priorities.

As of yesterday, it was unclear when negotiations would resume. It does not help to keep hope, let’s say.

But now we know that it will possibly be… this week. We don’t know exactly when, but hey: we know it’s in the plans.

It couldn’t be clearer.

It’s been a while since they talked about economic issues. In fact, it was done last Saturday, but otherwise, you have to go back to the beginning of February.

That’s what’s hard to understand in all of this: the lack of communication. By dint of so little talking, it is clear that the results cannot be there and that an employment contract cannot be signed.

Yes, the start of the season is more in danger than ever. The pitchers and receivers are not in Arizona and Florida and the deadline is necessarily already postponed.
