Author of his best career season with 13 points and 9 rebounds on average, Jakob Poeltl would have caught the eye of several franchises, especially in the East. Mark Stein thus evokes the interest of the Bulls, but also of the Raptors for several weeks. A franchise he knows well since he started his career there before being included in the exchange between Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan.
A good defender and sober in attack, the Austrian could thus become the understudy of Nikola Vucevic at the Bulls or become embedded in the starting five of the Raptors where Khem Birch is far from untouchable. According to our colleague, Gregg Popovich would be ready to give it up on condition of recovering a good player and a first round of Draft.
Perhaps the Raptors are best equipped to offer a “package”.
