The Trois-Rivières Aigles have hired Canadian pitcher Kyle Thomas.
Former 30th round pick of the Detroit Tigers in 2017, the right-handed gunner was claimed by the Trois-Rivières team in the Team Quebec dissolution draft last October.
Thomas, 26, played one season with Detroit’s A-tier Connecticut Tigers. He had a 1.54 ERA and struck out 20 players in 35 innings. job.
“Kyle has great stamina. He is able to throw for several innings without getting tired and without losing velocity. He can be used both in our starting rotation and in relief. His large pitching repertoire allows him to attack each hitter in a different way and exploit their weaknesses,” explained Matthew Rusch, Eagles manager.
